I am a PhD student in Information Science at University of Colorado Boulder, and I have previously held roles at Capital One, Nielsen, and Allstate. I graduated from Northwestern University cum laude with majors in Computer Science and Mathematical Methods in the Social Sciences.

Baseball Event Plotter

I play a lot of rec league sports – kickball and softball mostly – and I am always interested in finding an edge. Inspired by both An Nguyen’s Shot Plotter, and observations that MLB outfield defense has recently improved dramatically in response to a variety of factors, this is a logging tool that I have been using to collect the data needed to make an Outfield Positioning Advance Report for my various rec league teams. Is this overkill? Absolutely. Is it fun to do anyways? Also yes.
